Karen Tseng
Karen Tseng is originally from Hong Kong, she currently resides in California. Her early works in abstract expressionism were exhibited in galleries and won the Urban Council Fine Arts Award in the Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition. After 2008, Karen devoted herself to the learning of brush painting, calligraphy and seal-carving, and studies under the guidance Kan Kwok-fan, Hou Beiren, Lui Tai, Zhang Meiju and Zhang Ruizhi. She is currently serving as the president of the American Society for the Advancement of Chinese Art, vice-president of Silicon Valley Seal Carving Club, secretary of Lingnan Art Association of North America, and she is a member of the Renaissance Chinese Calligraphy Club and the Chinese Arts Association of San Francisco. 曾慶群出生成長於香港，現長居美國加州。自幼學習西洋畫， 酷愛抽象表現派的表達方式。 屢次在香港的畫廊展出， 1987年在香港藝術雙年展獲得市政局藝術獎，作品榮為香港藝術館永久收藏。1992年畢業於Mills College藝術歷史系，專研亞洲美術史。 在University of San Francisco 獲商科碩士。 90年代，曾從事拍賣中國藝術評估與其他業務。 2006年至2016年，在加州的庫布蒂諾公立校區教 K-8年級的小朋友美術，並設計了一套美術與社會科並行的美術課程。 2008年後潛心水墨書畫篆刻， 先後師事簡國藩、侯北人、呂媞、張梅駒及張芮之先生。2022年1月開始在加州FUHSD高中校區的成人學校教國畫及書法。現任美國中華藝術學會會長，北美矽谷印社副會長。曾編《墨趣：呂媞書法選輯》及《墨趣：呂媞書畫集》，2020年主編《矽谷印刊》第二期。

October, selected to be in the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition and won the Urban Council Fine Arts Award in the Western Media category, artwork Saint·Watch exhibited at the Hong Kong Museum of Art and was collected by the museum.

九月，六張畫作聯同其他六位市政局藝術獎得獎者於香港藝術館展出。畫作《你為什麼思想？》為藝術館收藏。

Worked as an Account Executive at AT&T’s Commercial Department, specializing in Small to Medium Asian Businesses. Took community ceramics and tai chi classes in the evening.
1997-2006
1997年結婚，因於丈夫職務而搬遷中國珠海。1999年歸返美國。女兒1998年出生於香港，兒子2001年出生於美國。全職照顧家庭。
Married in 1997, moved to Zhuhai, China due to her husband’s job, then back to the US in 1999. Her daughter was born in Hong Kong in 1998, and her son born in the US in 2001. She spent time raising her family these few years.
2006-2016
於加州庫布蒂諾Cupertino公立校區教導K-8年級美術，設計整套與社會學科連結並行的美術課程。
Created and taught an interdisciplinary art curriculum, integrating art, culture, and social studies for K-8 grade students in the Cupertino Union School District’s Mandarin immersion program in California.
2008
